Using the SmartThings app on my Samsung Watch - Galaxy Watch Active 2

 

Want to contol your TV directly from your Samsung Watch or start Scenes or Automations without having to whip out your phone? Follow the below guide to learn how to use SmartThings on your Samsung watch.

Please Note: This guide is designed for Australian variant Galaxy devices, if you have an international device and require further support click here to get in touch with your Samsung subsidiary. Screenshots were captured from a Galaxy Watch Active2 operating on One UI Watch Version 1.5, settings and steps available may vary depending on your Samsung Watch and software version.

 

Prior to following the below steps ensure that you have paired your Samsung watch to your mobile device and have signed into your Samsung Account. In order to use SmartThings, you will also require an internet connection. You are unable to create new connections, scenes or automations directly through the watch, you will first need to establish a connection through SmartThings from your connected mobile device. 1Head into the  Galaxy Store

2Search for and install SmartThings

3Allow the download to reach 100%

4Once installed, launch the SmartThings

5You will then be able to view your Scenes, Devices, Automations and SmartThings Settings

 

 

 

Scenes

 

1Tap on Scenes

 

2Select a Scene you would like to activate

 

 

 

Devices

 

1Select Devices

2Tap on  to power on or off your device. To change the channel or adjust the volume tap on the device name.

3Swipe across the screen to change between the Channel and Volume options.

 

 

Automations

 

1Select Automations

2Toggle on your preferred Automations
