How do I customise the watch face on my Galaxy Watch?
One of the most powerful features for customising your Galaxy Watch is the ability to change the face of your watch. You can choose from a wide range of watch faces from your smartphone or your Galaxy Watch. To find out how to do this, read the information below.
You can customise your watch face using your Galaxy Watch or a smartphone.
From your Galaxy Watch:
To customise the watch face from your Galaxy Watch, follow these steps:
Step 1. Press and hold on the home screen.
Step 2. Swipe left and choose the watch face that you prefer.
Step 3. When you select the watch face that you want to use, tap the “Customise” button to display this face on the main screen of your Galaxy Watch.
Please note: Depending on the watch face you select, you can change the colour of the watch hands, the standby background colour or certain application shortcuts as you wish. Remember that not all watch faces allow this type of customisation.
From your smartphone:
You can customise your watch face directly from your smartphone: Open Galaxy Wearable app → Tap on the Watch faces option → Choose your favourite watch face and tap on it to display on your Galaxy Watch.
You can also do the process with your phone by accessing the Galaxy Wearable app more directly from your Galaxy Watch. To do this, follow these steps:
Step 1. Press and hold on the home screen.
Step 2. Tap the edit on phone icon to open the “Watch faces” screen on your smartphone.
Step 3. On your smartphone, choose the face that you want to use on your Galaxy Watch and tap to display. If the customise feature is available for the face you want to use, you can do so at the top of the screen by tapping on "Customise" button.
You can always get more watch faces whenever you desire. If you want to put a new face on your watch and you cannot find the right one in the suggestions section, follow these steps:
Step 1. Open your Galaxy Wearable app and tap on the “Watch Faces” option. You can also open the app from your Galaxy Watch as in the previous steps.
Step 2. On the “Watch faces” screen, scroll down and tap the “Get more watch faces” option.
Step 3. Your smartphone will redirect you to “Google Play” where you will find all available watch faces. Tap the one you like the most.
Step 4. Tap the "Install" button. Once downloaded, your new watch face will be available on your watch and in the Wearable app on the "Watch faces" menu.
Please note: Some watch faces may incur extra charges higher than those contracted with your telephone operator. The options and application of the watch faces may vary depending on your device model.
